Mental Maps – Fragmented Spaces
Mental Maps became to serve as an envelope strategy for creative imperative, to ensemble multidimensional maps that are expressing (not representing), spatial relations, that breaks sequences, opens gaps, subverts under the false objective appearance. It enabled me to have flexible ways of operations.
I construct maps, Mental maps, Multidimensional, of variable density. Sometimes they incorporate documents or appropriate ready-made maps claiming objectivity, such as historical maps, demographic maps, migrations, deportations, as well as diagrams of battles and railway maps.
The space is always fragmentary, never a whole, but one which is constantly in a continual process of creation. It is a kind of space, which collapses the distinctions between the psyche, the social and the environment.
